Free to browse, built by GMs

Start from the best work other GMs have shared.

You would rather start from something proven than build every shop, item, and treasure pile from a blank page. Browse shops, loot, items, and collections other GMs wrote and ran, fork any of them, and make them yours. 6,000+ ready-to-play items are free to browse right now.

Craft passed hand to hand. Open work other GMs have run, then make it run at yours.

The ScryRPG marketplace Discover page: a search bar, a featured item, counts of items, shops, loot tables, and creators, and trending item cards with systems, prices, and ratings.
The real marketplace, browsed from The Lantern Company. Trending items, shops, and loot, each one published by a GM and ready to fork.

What it is

A community library of work that is ready to run.

The marketplace is ScryRPG's community library: 6,000+ ready-to-play items, plus shops, loot sets, and collections other GMs built and play tested, free to browse.

Items

6,000+ magic items, mundane gear, consumables, and curiosities other GMs wrote, named, and priced. Find one close to what your table needs instead of statting it from scratch.

Shops

Whole storefronts with stock, prices, and flavor already in place. Pull in a forge-town smithy or a back-alley apothecary instead of writing one merchant at a time.

Loot

Reward sets and treasure piles built and balanced by GMs who have handed them out. Drop a vault haul into your next session, coins and gear and the one strange clue included.

Collections

Items, shops, and loot bundled into one pack for a region, a faction, or an arc. Grab the whole low market of a city in a single pull.

Browse it like a shelf

Filter by system, kind, tags, and rating until you find the close fit.

You do not scroll a wall of homebrew hoping. Search and sort to surface the shops, loot, and items closest to what your table needs, then open one and see what is inside before you commit.

Fork and adapt

Fork it, tweak it, and deploy it to your party.

Borrowing here is not copying a wiki page by hand. You take a working copy, change what you want, and the result drops straight into the campaign you run.

1

Fork it

Found a shop or item near enough to what you need? Fork it. You get your own copy to change freely, and the original stays untouched for the GM who published it.

2

Tweak prices and stock

Reprice the shelves, swap out what is in stock, rename the merchant, retag it, and swap the art until it is yours. Rewrite the mechanics until the thing fits the world you are actually running.

3

Deploy to your party

Move the finished shop, loot, or item straight into your party so the merchant your players visit is the one you just tuned. It is in play, not sitting in a tab you forget.

4

Share it back

When something you built earns its place at your table, publish it. Other GMs discover it, rate it, and fork it the same way you did, and your best work travels.

Free to take, free to give

The best work rises, and your campaign gets richer for it.

Browsing is free, forking is free, and nothing in the library sits behind a paywall. When something you built earns its place at your table, publish it, and ratings surface the shops, loot, and items that hold up in play. The more the community shares, the better the next pull gets: take the best, make it yours, give your best back.

The loop

Browse and find a close fit.
Fork it into your own copy.
Tweak prices, stock, and art, then deploy to your party.
Publish your best so other GMs can start from it.

Public lore-pack sharing is coming next, so the worlds you build can travel the same way your shops and loot already do.

Common questions

The short version.

Are the items and shops free?

Yes. The whole marketplace is free to browse, and forking a shop, loot set, item, or collection into your own copy is free. You only ever pay for ScryRPG features like extra room to grow or letting your familiar do the heavy lifting, never for browsing or borrowing community content.

What does it mean to fork something?

Forking makes you a private copy you own and can change however you like. Reprice the stock, rename it, retag it, swap the art, and rewrite the mechanics. The original never moves, so the GM who published it keeps their version intact for the next person who wants to start from it.

Which systems does the marketplace cover?

You can browse and filter by system, including D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e, with Draw Steel content arriving as the library grows. Fork a D&D 5e item or a PF2e shop and adapt it for the table you run.

How does my published work reach other GMs?

Publish a shop, loot set, item, or collection and it shows up where other GMs search and browse. Ratings surface the work that holds up in play, so the craft that earns its place rises to where the next GM can find it and start from a copy.
