What Sessions Are
Every party has a Sessions page with scheduled and live sessions, followed by completed and cancelled sessions. Open a session to read its recap, view shared timeline events, and see any transcripts or encounters attached to it. GMs and managers (curators) can also review import history and manage sessions.
Open a party and choose Sessions in the party navigation. Game Masters and managers can schedule and edit scheduled sessions. Party members can read sessions and the content their party role can see.
Scheduling A Game Night
Choose Schedule session, enter a title, add a date and time if known, then choose Schedule. The session appears in the list. Game Masters and managers can edit a scheduled session from its card. From a session view, choose Session actions to reschedule or cancel it. A cancelled session stays in the list with its recap, events, transcripts, and imports; it is excluded from chronological numbering.
If no game night is scheduled, GMs and managers can open the scheduling form; other members see that the GM has not scheduled the next game night. To log a past game, import its recap instead (below) and the session is created through that import.
Recaps From Your Notes
The fastest way to log a session is to import the notes you wrote. Paste them into the importer and choose Recap mode when offered, or paste them to your familiar and use the Start import handoff when it appears. The importer compares the notes with the party’s visible roster and lore, then proposes a matching session or a new one. Review the recap, proposed lore changes, and timeline events, then choose Confirm recap to apply the selected changes and link or create the session.
Which session is this?
The preview lists candidate sessions and evidence for each match. Likely match marks a strong candidate, based on details such as the date, title, or session number. If none fits, choose Create a new session. A matching suggestion does not attach the recap until you confirm it.
How Sessions Are Numbered
The list’s chronological number (for example, “Session 12”) is based on the played date, or the scheduled date when there is no played date. Sessions are ordered by calendar day, so adding an earlier session can change later numbers. Cancelled or undated sessions have no chronological number.
An imported or stored session number can differ from the chronological number. When it does, the session view shows the stored number as “Session 14 in your notes”. Curators can change that matching number from Reschedule; it does not set the list’s chronological number.
The Session View
Open a session card to see its recap and lore it touched, shared timeline events, attached transcripts and encounters, and, for curators, the import changelog. Curators can confirm or dismiss proposed timeline events, or confirm an event with an in-world date. Members see only the content their party role can read.
Curators may also see convergence flags for entries created by imports. A flag shows the player’s entry beside the hidden entry. Choose whether to merge into the hidden entry, merge into the player’s entry, or dismiss the flag. Merging into a hidden entry makes it party-visible.
A Quick Tour
When a party has a session, the Sessions page can walk you through the list, schedule control, a session card, and the session view. Replay the tour with Show me around sessions in the page header.
Common Questions
Can players schedule sessions? No. Game Masters and managers schedule and edit sessions. The session view’s Session actions menu provides Reschedule, Cancel session, Merge into another session, and Delete session when available to a curator.
Can players RSVP to a scheduled session? Yes, through your familiar. Ask it to mark you as coming or not coming to a session, and it records your response. Discord-only accounts can RSVP this way too. The session page does not show RSVP buttons or member responses.
What if two people import notes for the same night? Each importer reviews the suggested session match before confirming. If separate sessions were created, a curator can merge one into another from Session actions when the sessions are eligible. If only one session has a recap, that recap is retained on the chosen session. A merge is unavailable when both sessions have recaps; remove or revert one recap first. A successful merge moves the source session’s attached records and removes that session.
Can I keep a copy of a session? In the session view, choose Export to download a Markdown file. The export includes transcript references, not transcript text.
What happens when I delete a session? Curators can choose Delete session from Session actions. The confirmation shows which undated events will be archived, and what happens to the recap, dated events, transcripts, encounters, imports, and prep items.
Where did my session number go? Cancelled and undated sessions have no chronological number. Add a played date or schedule date to give an active session a place in date order.
